Powering and Grounding the Pool

Although the electrical portion of the pool building process is not to exciting, this is how you interact with your pool and spa. At a basic level, the pool will simply have a variable speed pump and a switch for the light. Several options with the electrical phase may include LED color changing lights and pool automation.

Power is brought from the existing service panel to the pool equipment area. Power is also run to the pool light that is also installed during this phase. Electrical is usually a one day phase and is the last phase before the first city inspection. Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Maricopa County, etc. all have different requirements to meet city specifications.
